Pôle Mer Méditerranée places its operational efficiency at the service of innovative project leaders, under the governance of several groups of stakeholders:
- The Interpôle Maritime Cluster Coordination Committee
The Interregional Steering and Coordination Committee is the tool for consultation and coordination between Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique and Pôle Mer Méditerranée clusters through:
The Pôles Mer Joint Venture (JV):
Both clusters have established a new tool, a non-profit association formed from elements of the two clusters. The aim of this joint venture is to ensure unified and synergistic representation in national, European, and international forums. Pôles Mer JV represents the interests of its members and the four French maritime regions they cover within the other national economic sectors. It offers additional qualified services to institutional and economic actors within French regions (including overseas), optimises and enhances the intensity and effectiveness of actions carried out in Europe to accelerate access to European funding for both clusters and their members, and participates in international development initiatives by undertaking joint action within the framework of international missions or trade shows.
The Pôles Mer JV, which formalises the collaboration of the maritime clusters under a legal entity for the past 17 years, thus has the ability to enter into contracts and communicate on its behalf — ensuring its own activities with a specific economic model.
Interregional coordination:
PMJV ensures consistency between the projects of the two clusters, avoids redundancies in innovative projects undertaken by the two Pôles Mer and exploits their complementarity on the two maritime facades.
The Steering Committee (COPIL) of Pôle Mer Méditerranée
The COPIL is the decision-making body of the PMM cluster. It is in charge of developing the Cluster’s strategy and managing its operational implementation:
- Monitoring the execution of the budget and the associated action plan;
- Search for public and private funding;
- Management of the life of the Cluster (development, memberships, etc.);
- Certifying of projects carried out by Cluster members;
- Recruitment of the engineering and development team.
It is composed of 4 colleges: groups, SMEs, research and training organisations, and ecosystems (associations, conciliar networks, banks, etc.). The Cluster’s umbrella structure, the Toulon Var Technologies Association, is an ex officio member as well as the economic development agency of the Occitanie region, AD’OCC.
